The anniversary of an affluent businessman and his wife is shattered by the arrival of an ominous figure at the door. Can they do anything to save the life they have built together?
I directed The Eviction during my third and final year of university. Taking influences from David Fincher, Stanley Kubrick and Gregory Crewdson, the film explores consumerism and materialism and satirises contemporary ‘poverty porn’ reality TV in a science fiction setting.
Incorporating visual effects and unique sound design, we crowdfunded a £3000 budget, shot on a RED Dragon, and the film won the Orillo Award at the 2018 Luma Film Festival, picked by production company Orillo Films as their favourite of the selection.
